Study Hours in the UHP Office
Because Gelman can get hot and crowded, and your dorm room just doesn’t scream “study” to you: Honors students are welcome in the office for open study hours from now through Thursday, 12/17 (We’re open 9-5 regularly.)  Additionally, we’ll keep our doors open longer than normal for studying – find the schedule below.

Extended Office Hours for Open Study
Thurs 12/10: 5-10pm
Fri 12/11: 5-10pm
Sat 12/12: 1:30-6:30pm
Mon 12/14: 5-10pm
Tues 12/15: 5-10pm
Wed 12/16: 5-10pm

Seniors!
Graduating this December?
We need a graduation form to know! Come by the Honors office at your earliest convenience and take two minutes to fill one out. And as a reminder to all seniors taking courses in pursuit of special honors this fall, you must submit a special honors verification form by the end of the semester.

Great Government Intern Opportunity for NC Students
The prestigious and competitive North Carolina State Government Internship Program is offering up to 65 paid summer internship opportunities in state government agencies, for undergraduate and graduate students of many disciplines. Applications are now being accepted for the Summer 2010 North Carolina State Government Internship Program, the 40th Anniversary year of the program.  See the attached PDF flier for more info, but note that applications must be postmarked byJanuary 20th, 2010.

Intern on the Hill!
Congresswoman Betsy Markey (D-CO)
is currently seeking interns for the spring of 2010. Interns will be responsible for general front office duties including, but not limited to, answering phones, logging office correspondence and working with constituents.  Interns will also have the opportunity to attend briefings and assist with legislative research.  Colorado ties are preferable but not necessary.  Interested candidates should email their resume, cover letter and short writing sample tojeff.jay@mail.house.gov
