Leadership Opportunity – Books for Africa

27 Jan
Books for Africa, a student org here at GW, is looking for some bright students to join their e-board (especially underclassmen, as most of the current board will be graduating this year), and help out with a great cause! B4A’s major activity is a book drive conducted at the end of each semester. They box up the books collected and send them to their participating NGOs – Better World Books and Books for Africa. These organizations either send the applicable books to different schools all over the continent or sell them online and use the profits to buy new books, build schools, libraries, and other facilities that promote learning all across Africa.  They also hold other events throughout the year to raise awareness on campus.

If being on the executive board of Books for Africa is something that interests you, contact Shimmy Edwards (a senior in the UHP) at shimmy2@gwmail.gwu.edu (or b4africa@gwu.edu).
