One of the biggest challenges about the college process isn’t the applications, it isn’t the essays, or even getting in. It’s figuring out where to go. Hopefully, by reading this, you’ve already settled on GW, (but just in case you haven’t, totally come to GW). Once I’d finally made that choice and let some relief settle in, I was confronted by an even tougher decision: do I choose to live in Honors Housing?
I’m sure I had some of the same fears that you prospective students are having now; will all of my friends be only Honors kids, will I make no friends outside of West Hall, will I be sad all the time on the Vern and so on. After much agonizing, I bit the bullet and went through with Honors Housing.
I don’t regret it for a moment. Continue reading
Get excited for the SPA’s big event of the semester! Consider this your formal invitation to bond with your SPA and other honors students on a road trip across the country (figuratively, of course). In addition to some delicious and FREE burritos from Boloco, the SPA will be serving regional cuisine – rest assured there will be fried pickles, among other favorites. Here’s what you need to know:
When: Wednesday, February 20th, 7-9pm
Where: UHP Townhouse
Excited?! You should be! In addition to great company and food, the SPA will be available to offer advising on tough stuff like choosing a major, getting involved in extracurricular activities, study abroad, campus life/housing, and anything related to #honorsproblems. We can’t wait to see you there!
Rising sophomores, have you applied for Honors Housing in Amsterdam Hall yet? Just to be clear, we mean the dorm on campus, not the worldly city. Well, you could live in Amsterdam (city), but commuting to campus would be terrible, especially on a bike. Sign up for housing in Amsterdam Hall and you won’t have to worry! This is the last week to sign up.
Rising sophomores, have you applied for Honors Housing in Amsterdam Hall yet? Sign up now and lock down your roommates and your room! Don’t spend a semester secretly camping out in Gelman.
Living in the UHP community as a sophomore is a great way to lock down your space and roommates. Plus this year’s dorm is going to be awesome!
