Meet, Greet, and Make Some Cash [Part-Time Job]

A UHP Alum wrote us with this opportunity to make a little bit of cash and meet some other high achievers.  If you’ve ever been a camp counselor, tour guide, or the like — this might be a fun job for you.

American Councils in Washington, DC has an opportunity for Hallway monitors and airport meeter-greeters at two upcoming conferences.  POSITIONS PAY AN HONORARIUM (listed below)

Hallway monitors and Meeter-Greeters need to undergo a background screening (criminal background check) before being hired. Hallway monitors need to be at least 20 years old.

For these positions, per diem and metro fare are factored into the honorarium and NOT paid separately.

Airport Meeter-Greeter: 

On arrival days, meet US State Department Scholarship students at Washington Reagan airport and take them in groups (around 15-20 students) by metro to hotel located by McPherson Square Metro.

On arrival day, meeter-greeters will be required to pick up student metro fare and t-shirt at McPherson Square hotel before departing to airport.On departure days, take them from McPherson square to the airport. Some shifts require more than one trip to pick up an additional group, or staying at airport until the next chaperone arrives.

Available shifts:

Thursday 4/12    11am- 2:30pm  $55

Thursday 4/12   12noon – 2:30pm $40

Thursday 4/12   1:30pm – 3pm $25

Sunday 4/22     7:30am-11am $55

Hallway Monitor:

Arrive at hotel (near McPherson Square) at 10:30 and stay awake until 7:30am to ensure that students stay in rooms after lights out.  Might work in pair or alone. Will be given contact information for on-site chaperones and American Councils staff in case of emergencies.

Available shifts (all pay $80):

10:30 pm Friday 4/13 – 7:30am Saturday 4/14

10:30pm Saturday 4/15 – 7:30am Sunday 4/15

10:30pm Thursday 4/19 – 7:30am Friday 4/20
