Send a Youth Delegate to the UN

9 Sep

The United States Youth Delegate Initiative is an organization campaigning to send a youth representative with the United States delegation to the United Nations to bring the voice of American young people to the world stage. The Initiative is headed by GW student Joseph Gibson, and is staffed by Honors students Benjamin Silverstein and Laurel Poolman, among others. The Initiative, now two years old, is intensely lobbying Congress and negotiating with the Department of State. Taking leads from other nations who have sent youth delegates to the UN, the Initiative is looking forward to taking large strides towards amplifying the voice of American youth and supporting other countries youth delegate initiatives. The US-YDI is always looking for new members who show outstanding interest and qualifications in the United Nations and domestic politics!

For those students interested in joining the Initiative, please contact Joseph Gibson at jwgibsonydi@gmail.com. More information about the program and individual members can be found at www.usydi.org
