Internship with ReUse Connection [Internships]

9 Sep

ReUse Connection (www.reuseconnection.com) is a startup website focusing on re-use of materials.  We aim to be the portal for reuse knowledge sharing by allowing users from around the world to do one of two things:  1. Post items and materials they’d like reuse solutions for and 2. Share the way they reuse items and materials with other people.

We are seeking a self-motivated, college level intern who is interested in sustainability, recycling, re-use of material goods, and social media.   In preparation for the launch of our website in several months, we need to transfer a large volume of information already shared by users on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ReUseConnection) to our website database.  As such, this job will initially entail a large volume of data entry as well as some online research of interesting examples of reuse.

Given the small size of the company (2-5 people), excellent performance on this initial work, combined with an earnest interest in the topic of reuse and social media, will likely offer additional opportunities.

At present, this company is a volunteer effort from top to bottom and no initial salary or stipend is offered.

Qualifications:

  • Must be of junior standing or higher in college.
  • Must have demonstrated interest in reuse and sustainability.
  • Must be a self-motivated, creative, innovative problem-solver.
  • Must maintain a 3.0 gpa or higher.

Expressions of interest (brief cover email and a resume) can be submitted to Ian Moise at imoise@reuseconnection.com.

Deadline: September 21st, 2010
